Hi Everyone,

Since we returned to school two weeks ago, we had to take our temperature twice a day. Some of the pupils could not return to school because they were on leave of absence. Our remedial, CCA and other activities have been cancelled or postponed. In this week's reflection, I would like you to discuss how all these have affected you. I have listed some questions below to help you with your reflection:

1. What do you think of the school's preventive measures for H1N1 such as temperature-taking, no assembly in the hall, cancellation of remedial lessons, CCA and other activities?

2. Which activities have affected you?

3. How has the cancellation of these activities affect you in your learning?

4. Do you think the school is less interesting now? Why?

5. Are you relationship with your friends and teachers affected? If 'yes', in what way/s?

6. What do you do with the extra time you have now?

7. Are you activities outside school affected?I hope to read your reflection soon. Start writing immediately.

Mr Ng

Hiyas :D

I think the school do not wan H1N1 to spread around the school so that they do temperature-taking, no assembly in the hall, cancellation of remedial lessons, CCA and other activities. I think none of the activities affected me , because i do not have CCA. It does not affect with my learning , as i said , i do not have any CCA , so it does not affect me at all :DD. I think school is still interesting , even if no assembly in the hall, cancellation of remedial lessons, CCA and other activities , its still school ;] My relationship with my friends and teachers are not affect at all . =] I sometimes will do assessment books or play computer or watch tv. My activities outside school is not affected :B

Influenza is a illness that infect the respiratory tract . It spreads from courtries to courtries and all over the world .There are a few countries In Asia have people with Influenza , such as Mexico , Malaysia and America plus some other countries. They can make sure by advising people not to travel so much in this type of period . The taking of temperature is effective in preventing Influenza because it ensure that we're not sick and they would not get influenza more easily . When we go to somewhere crowded , someone will help us take our temperature to ensure that we are not sick , if our temperature reaches the degree that for your age that is not normal , your are not allowed to go in . I am washing my hands regularly with soap after and before dinner and toilet .

I think my classroom is not really clean :D Some people throw papers on the floor and did not pick it up . Its important to keep the classroom clean because if its not clean insects will come in like once , one bug is under Amelia's chair ._. then amelia use the chair leg squash the insect (Ew ._. ) . I participate mostly in sweeping the floor , when i was about p1 or p2 i helped my group to sweep and keep the chairs and tables straight . I learn that its important to keep our classroom clean so that we wont get sick easily . I learnt self-dicipline , i need to have self-dicipline in order to keep the classroom clean right ? ( MAYBE ._.) ^-^

Hi Everyone,The Singapore Kindness Movement has designated April as the month of kindness. Well, we are coming to the end of April. What acts of kindness have you done? For this week, I would like you to reflect on 'kindness'. To get some ideas, you might want to visit the website of the Singapore Kindness Movement at :http://kindness.sg/Here are some questions to help you get your journal writing going:

1. What do you mean by 'kindness'?

2. Is it important for people to be kind? Why?

3. How can people show their kindness?4. Could you describe an act of kindness which you have done?

5. How did you feel after doing that act of kindness?

6. What other act/s of kindness would you like to do either in school, at home or in the community?

7. How can you yourself promote the message of kindness to your friends?

I am looking forward to reading your reflection.

Kindness means that that be nice to a person who really needs help . Its important for people to be kind , as usual if you are kind and do nice stuff to other people people will help you back. People can show their kindness by volunteering to help children and senior citizens .An act of kindness that i have done is when i was walking back home , i saw my grandmother carrying lots of stuff ( vegetable , fish , meat and etc ) , i ran our and help my grandmother to bring back the stuff to her house . I feel great after doing that act of kindness , when you help someone you may feel great but sometimes you may felt that you had be forced to do that kindness . Other act that i would like to do at home is i really wanna help my mum do chores at home . I can explain what is the meaning of the word KINDNESS and why must they do it .

Dear students,"Do you know that 22nd April is Earth Day? So what is Earth Day? If you want to know more, go to this link http://www.ecokids.ca/pub/eco_info/topics/environmental/earthday/in...and http://holidays.kaboose.com/earth-day/ Read as much as you can about what people in other parts of the world do on that day. Then reflect on what Earth Day means to you. Here are some questions to guide you:1. Is Earth Day important to you? Why?2. What do you understand by the phrase "save the Earth"?3. Why do you think it is important to recycle, reuse and reduce?4. What can you do to save the Earth?5. Can you suggest an activity which you and your family will do for "Earth Day?"

Best regards,Mr Ng

Earth Day is important to me . Without earth we would not be able to survive . Yes i understand the phrase " Save The Earth " its is very important now , earth is having dificuities since global warming is happening .It is important to recycle , reuse and reduce because by doing this we can save earth and prevent it from global warming. I sometimes reuse some items and throw cans and bottles into the correct recycle bins.A activity that me and my family will do for earth day is like who can try to find the most recycle items wins and after the game we could go to the recycle bins to put in the recycle items that we found .

Hi Everyone,Last week, Mrs Nam spoke about the loss of things during CCA in the school. She invited the CCA leaders to come up with suggestions to solve the problem. For this week, I would like everyone to think of ways of improving our school. This could be the improvement in physical facilities such as the field, toilets, classroom, canteen, library, art room, computer lab and other facilities or the people who provided services to you such as the office personnel, teachers, book shop lady, school bus drivers and even the cleaners. In short, you can think of any aspects of the school that needs to improve so that the lives of pupils will be better. To help you, I have listed some questions below:1. Which aspect/s of the school do you like very much? Why?2. Which aspect/s of the school do you think you dislike? Why?3. What do you think can be done to improve it/them?4. What other areas of the school should be improved?5. How can pupils help in the improvement of the school? These questions are just a guide to help you start writing.

You are free to to give your own opinions and suggestions..I hope to read your suggestions soon.

Mr Ng

I think we celebrate International Friendship Day Because we want everyone to be together united as one no matter what difference we are .Like malay with chinese .I know a little bit of International Friendship Day , hm , i think International Friendship Day its like many people together as friends . ASEAN stands for Association Of South east Asian Nation . I do not know much about ASEAN because i think this year is first time i heard about ASEAN , but during social studies , Mrs Nam show us wikipedia about ASEAN i know a little better in ASEAN now.I do not really know if i like the activities organised by the school on International Friendship Day Because that day theres P5 Camp So i really do not know if liked it ._. . Nope i do not have any friends in the ASEAN countries .The school should organise games to help pupils develop friendship with the ASEAN countries.

I really like the computer lab i bet lots of people liked it too because it have cold aircon and its have good computers only thats its abit lagg. I do not really like the toilet because its sometime dirty and maybe stinky . Maybe The cleaner might clean more often in the toilets because it really quite stinky and dirty . The other areas of the school that should be improved is still the toliet [ Sorry For repeating toilet so much :D ] . The pupils can help yo improve the school by not littering and not to eating outside the canteen .
